This artwork is from the Ilha Collection by South African fine arts photographer David Ballam. This collection is a selection of images taken in and around Ilha de Moçambique. The island, which is located in northern Mozambique, was used as a vital trading link between Asia, Africa and Europe. For 400 years the island was to be the capital of Portuguese East Africa.
Blending art, travel and photography, Françoise’s work weaves together the extraordinary stories of the most unique people, places, cultures, nature and wildlife of Africa.
